Receipt Printer Model 310 Wired Connection Setup

If your router is located near the receipt printer (Model 310), connect the countertop receipt printer directly to your router using the Ethernet cable included with your receipt printer.

1. Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on the receipt printer located directly below the USB port.  Plug the other end of the cable into an available LAN port on your router.  The two small LEDs below the receipt printer's Ethernet port will turn green when the connection is solid.

2. Open the POS app and log in using your PIN.

3. Go to the POS app Home screen by clicking the Home icon  in the upper-left corner of the screen.

4. Tap the settings "gear"  located near the top-right corner of the screen.

5. Tap Configure printers.

6. Tap Find new printer.

7. Tap Wired directly to router.

8. Provide a Printer Name that is something meaningful to you, such as the area of the store where it is located.

9. Choose your printer's role.  Two types of printers are available to use with the POS app:

• Receipt Printer — is a receipt printer used to print customer receipts and to provide a means for signature capture if you do not have digital on-screen capture set up.

• Kitchen Printer — is used to print a kitchen "chit".  A chit contains instructions to the kitchen or other prep area on how to prepare an item.  Kitchen chits do not look just like regular receipts — they display the item name and how to prepare it (via modifiers), but they do not include any price information.

• If you only have one printer, it can be used as both a receipt printer and a kitchen printer.

10. Toggle the Cash drawer attached button to On if you are using a cash drawer in conjunction with the receipt printer.  The cash drawer will open automatically for cash sales.

11. Tap Done.

12. Tap the blue arrow next to your receipt printer.

13. Tap Print test receipt to test the receipt printer.

14. Set the receipt printer to Default if you want this receipt printer to be your default receipt printer.

15. Select Done when you are finished.
