All employees log in with their unique four-digit PIN; however, you might need to change their four digit PIN for security reasons, or when an employee forgets their PIN. For employees granted access to Silver Back Office, you might need to change their password, as well.

Changing an Employee PIN

 
  1. Log in to Silver Back Office through a Web browser.
  2. Select EMPLOYEES.
  3. Select the employee for which you want to change a PIN. The Employee Detail screen appears.
  4. Click Change PIN. The Change POS PIN screen appears.

  1. In PIN, type the new four-digit PIN.
  2. In Confirm PIN, retype the new four-digit PIN.
  3. Click Save Changes to return to the Employee Detail screen.
  4. Click Save Changes.

Changing an Employee Password

 
  1. Log in to Silver Back Office through a Web browser.
  2. Select EMPLOYEES.
  3. Select the employee for which you want to change their password. The Employee Detail screen appears.
  4. Click Reset Password. The Reset Password screen prompt appears with the temporary password for the employee. The system also emails the temporary password to the employee. When the employee logs in to Silver Back Office with the temporary password, the system requires the employee to change their password.
