The Magnetic Stripe Reader (MSR) available from NCR for use with NCR Silver Pro Restaurant is uniquely encrypted to work with the POS app. The MSR is available for both 30 Pin and Lightning connectors. The MSR includes a charging cable, which enables you to charge your iPad while the MSR is plugged into the iPad.

To set up the MSR, securely connect the MSR into the connector dock port of the iPad.
To charge the iPad while using the MSR:

Plug the charging cable into the back of the MSR.

Plug the other end of the charging cable into the Apple USB power adapter.

Plug the Apple USB adapter into a power outlet.
